Mission

The mission of the school library instructional program is:

1) to support and enhance the school's curriculum by providing quality resources and services;
2) to teach students the information skills they need to become independent lifelong learners; 
3) to promote reading and the love of literature; 
4) to foster curiosity and creativity in our students, and
5) to ensure equity of learning opportunities for all students.

Hours: 7:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m

(Closed during school breaks and on holidays)

Quarterly Reading Challenge

During Q3, read either Atomic Habits or Turtles All the Way Down (both available at MHS Library) and you will win a Small Prize, PLUS you will be entered into a raffle to win a Big Prize! Come see us at the library for more details.

Our Vertical File archives can be found in the Library & Pacific section, and are organized alphabetically by subject (ex. A: Agriculture, B: Bishop Museum, C: Coral Reefs, etc). See the attached file for a full list of all our subjects, then come look through the archival clippings in the library.

Valentine's Day - Looking for your next romantic read? We have a book display for that.

Q3 Reading Contest - We will be drawing the raffle for the big prize right before Spring Break, so don't forget to submit your reading report if you read this quarter's selections!
