Mission

The mission of the school library instructional program is:

1) to support and enhance the school's curriculum by providing quality resources and services;
2) to teach students the information skills they need to become independent lifelong learners; 
3) to promote reading and the love of literature; 
4) to foster curiosity and creativity in our students, and
5) to ensure equity of learning opportunities for all students.

Hours: 7:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m

(Closed during school breaks and on holidays)

Our Vertical File archives can be found in the Library & Pacific section, and are organized alphabetically by subject (ex. A: Agriculture, B: Bishop Museum, C: Coral Reefs, etc). See the attached file for a full list of all our subjects, then come look through the archival clippings in the library.

Join MHS's eSports Team!

Love Super Smash Bros? Then sign up to play in the Fall 2025 Hawaii High School eSports league! You need a 3-person team to register. Enrollment Deadline is September 19th. The first match will be Sept. 26th at 3:00 PM HST in the library. Matches will continue weekly. Click here or on the icon above to register your team, or come speak to Mr. Millar in the library. SSB Solo and Rocket League are also available.
